The city was founded in 1886. The city's name is derived from
its circular main street, the scene of annual automobile races during 1913-1916.
Several religions are practiced in Corona. Crossroads Christian Church is one of
the largest in the nation. It is in the Pacific Standard time zone.

United States. It is located at 33°52′31″N, 117°33′56″W. According to the United
States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 35.2 square miles (91.1 km²),
of which, 35.2 square miles (91.0 km²) of it is land and 0.04 square miles (0.1
km²) of it (0.06%) is water. As per the 2000 Census, there were 124,996 people,
37,839 households and 30,384 families residing in the city. The population
density was 3,555.5 people per square mile (1,372.7/km²).
